The iconic Columns, located on St. Charles Avenue, is seeking an experienced, passionate, and disciplined Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary leadership team as we open an exciting new restaurant concept.
Under the direction of Executive Chef Paul Terrebonne, the CDC will be instrumental in executing a high-level culinary vision, mentoring a dedicated BOH team, and maintaining the standards of one of New Orleans' most storied properties.

The Role
As Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for the daily excellence of our food program, ensuring every plate meets our exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership: Expertly command the pass (expo) and lead the line through high-volume service with composure and authority.
Administrative Management: Own the Back of House scheduling, balancing labor costs with operational needs to ensure the kitchen is always set up for success.
Banquet & Event Oversight: Organize and oversee all banquet prep lists and execution. You will be the point person for ensuring our private events and large-party catering are organized, on time, and up to the Columns' standard.
Culinary Execution: Ensure all menu items are prepped, cooked, and plated in strict accordance with established recipes.
Operational Excellence: Maintain an organized kitchen environment; manage station assignments and inventory to ensure peak efficiency.
Mentorship: Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that prioritizes professional growth and hospitality for both guests and staff.
Creativity: Bring a detail-oriented and creative mindset to daily operations, seasonal menu changes, and special projects.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in BOH Management/Leadership roles.
Technical Skill: Exceptional "expo" skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Availability: Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Mindset: A "guest-first" attitude and a deep-seated passion for the New Orleans culinary landscape.
