Immediate opportunity with a European Investment Bank In NYC. The role is onsite- in Midtown.

Network Security Engineer- Must have prior experience with remediations and configuration of Firewalls specifically Checkpoint and Fortinet

Long Term Contract- onsite in NYC

• Highlights of the role:
  They need to remediate the Configuration drift specifically firewalls Checkpoint and Fortinet FortiGate to make it Audit Ready and Compliant
• Need to correct to the standard configuration that was originally approved
• Need to understand Switching routing and how network protocols work- Mixed environment of Cisco 5600 series and up
• Candidate should have Network Engineering experience as the basis of their background but must have a strong focus on security and and firewalls
• Person should understand all things networking
• When remediating(introducing changes) they do changes on Sat or Sunday only. 3-4 hours for the change window.
• They will need to help execute and deal with high pressure situation.
• They need to analyze dns routing switching and has to be hands-on
• Must have a min of 10 years of experience in Network Security and be a Sr candidate who can execute

Required Skills:
4+ Years of enterprise security experience

Experience in Investment Banking- fast paced environment.
4+ years of Checkpoint, Fortinet Firewalls, F5, etc.
Working experience with different Cisco platforms: ASRs, Nexus, Catalyst
Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
Update firewall configuration as per latest security standards of company
Assist with hardware life cycle of network equipment
Troubleshooting Layer 2 issues. Full understanding of STP
Troubleshooting dot1x/EAP. Handle NAC related issues
Strong Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, troubleshooting various application issues using Wireshark, tcpdump etc
Knowledge of McAfee Web Gateways.
Infoblox DNS Management
Ability to support off-hours as needed
