Gammon Cafe LLC is hiring a Porter to join our team at 7 Spring!

Nestled on a vibrant block, 7 Spring is the first members club of its kind in New York City, converging timeless elegance, glamour and aesthetic. This 70-seat space is designed to foster a sense of community for those who share an interest in backgammon, imbibing, and dining.

The venue draws inspiration from bespoke European lounges where traditional luxury meets contemporary service. The food and beverage program is anchored by staples such as caviar, charcuteries, and more satiating options such as the roast beef and halibut dinners, served family style. Our wine list is carefully curated featuring an array of old world wines, while our refined cocktail offerings include house takes on classics as well as specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including wiping tables, chairs, and surfaces
• Clear and reset tables promptly to support efficient customer turnover
• Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Keep kitchen and service areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Dispose of trash and recycling regularly; ensure bins are clean and lined
• Restock supplies such as napkins, condiments, utensils, and cleaning materials
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house staff with basic tasks as needed
• Sweep and mop floors in dining, kitchen, and entry areas
• Clean restrooms and ensure they remain stocked and hygienic throughout the day
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management
• Support opening and closing cleaning duties as required
• Deliver excellent support to staff to help maintain smooth daily operations
• Receive and organize daily orders 

Requirements:

• Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
• Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
• Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
