Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Private Cloud Appliance Engineer on behalf of our client in Remote. This role is ideal for a technology professional with expertise in Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) and Oracle Enterprise Linux. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure environments while ensuring platform stability, performance, and reliability. This position offers an opportunity to work on infrastructure modernization initiatives, platform upgrades, and mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and support Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) environments.
Administer and maintain Oracle Enterprise Linux systems and related infrastructure components.
Manage platform upgrades, patching activities, and release cycle implementations.
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operations.
Support infrastructure migration projects and maintain system stability during transitions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, virtualization, and system-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud, network, security, and operations teams.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities for automation, performance enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or cloud platform support.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) 3.x .
Strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) administration and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud environments.
Knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, and infrastructure management concepts.
Experience with system upgrades, patch management, and release deployment activities.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DevOps tools, practices, and automation frameworks.
Network engineering or data center networking experience.
Experience supporting mission-critical or highly available production environments.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of Oracle cloud and engineered systems environments.
