Job Description

: Responsibilities: Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a highly motivated Project Assistant to join our Transportation Group in Anne Arundel County, MD. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Program Managers in integrating the heavy maintenance activities into the overall 5-year program
• Assist Program Managers in maintaining and oversighting the heavy maintenance program
• Ensure the heavy maintenance activities are scheduled and completed to meet the strategic plan of MDOT MTA
• Facilitate the coordination and communication between MTA Maintenance of Way, Rail Operations, Rail Control Centers
• Provide guidance and support to MOW Project Managers to initiate mode led maintenance activities and projects
• Proficient in computer application software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project), and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience and/or knowledge of Maryland State laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in administrative assistant's program or related field AND at least 4 years of relevant office experience of which at least 2 years of experience working in the A/E/C industry in an administrative capacity

OR

• If no degree, must have at least 6 years of relevant office experience of which at least 2 years of experience working in the A/E/C industry in an administrative capacity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to produce quality results under strict time constraints
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize projects
• Attention to details
