Location: Towson, MD

Start Date: 08-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday-Friday with possible weekend and on-call shifts as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

• Care for and handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision
• Store and distribute sterile supplies throughout the medical center
• Ensure all processed goods meet quality standards for redistribution
• Assist Sterile Processing Specialists with team lead duties and maintaining competencies
• Collaborate with surgical teams to support safe patient care

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Sterile Processing Technician experience
• Active HSPA certification for a minimum of 2 years
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control
• Skill in handling and storing surgical instruments
• Understanding of quality assurance for processed goods
• Proficiency with sterilization equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
