Overview
Registered Nurse – Acute Care (Charge) in Penn Yan, New York. Start date: 08/03/2026. 26-week travel assignment through holidays. Weekly pay: $1,978–$2,065 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (days and nights). Work setting: hospital emergency department within an acute care environment. This assignment requires active licensure, appropriate certifications, and ED experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, delivering timely assessment and interventions
- Conduct primary and ongoing assessments, triage, and prioritization of care based on acuity
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient responses, including life-saving interventions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary ED team to coordinate care and communicate with patients and families
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge plans; document care accurately and thoroughly
- Maintain infection prevention practices and uphold patient safety and quality standards

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI), BLS, ACLS, and PALS current and active
- One-year acute hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED setting, with rotating 12-hour shifts and high patient turnover
- Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program
