Salary: $124,800 - 156,000 per year Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, showcasing hands-on expertise in Snowflake
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Snowflake tables, views, and materialized views
- Proficient in SQL transformations and developing curated analytical datasets
- Familiar with data model implementation, source-to-target mappings, derivations, and transformation logic
- Strong SQL development capabilities, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability in Snowflake
- Experience collaborating with architects and analysts to translate business and design requirements into technical implementation patterns
- Background in reviewing technical designs and aiding implementation teams with clarifications, issue resolution, and design alignment
- Ability to communicate technical implementation considerations effectively to both architects and client engineering teams
- Preferred: Experience in client-led implementation or advisory-based delivery models
- Preferred: Knowledge of canonical and semantic model implementation in Snowflake
- Preferred: Background in payments, financial services, or transaction-data environments
- Preferred: Familiar with KPI-oriented data structures, curated layers, and reporting-ready datasets
- Preferred: Experience contributing to implementation design documentation and technical handoff materials
- Preferred: Experience in supporting testing, reconciliation, and rollout readiness from a technical advisory perspective
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Data Architect / Solution Design Lead to convert target-state architecture into actionable Snowflake design guidance
- Contribute to the design of curated data structures, semantic-supporting objects, transformation patterns, and physical implementation considerations
- Assist in defining the implementation details for approved mappings, derivations, and business rules in Snowflake
- Identify the necessary technical objects for implementation, including tables, views, materialized views, reference structures, and other relevant artifacts
- Provide insights on Snowflake development patterns, object design, SQL implementation strategies, and performance considerations
- Work alongside the Data Architect to outline implementation sequencing, object dependencies, and technical design checkpoints
- Engage in design reviews and collaborative sessions to ensure the solution is technically feasible and executable
- Aid in preparing implementation-ready technical specifications for client development teams
- Offer technical support to the client implementation team during build, testing, and validation phases
- Review selected client-created artifacts at designated checkpoints to evaluate alignment with approved design and intended Snowflake patterns
- Assist in troubleshooting by determining if inquiries or defects stem from design interpretation, Snowflake implementation tactics, or build quality issues
- Contribute to documenting transformation logic, technical assumptions, implementation considerations, and design decisions
- Support knowledge transfer sessions and walkthroughs for the clients technical team
