Job Description

: Engineering/Technology Responsibilities: 1.Coordinate Cavern Integrity operations with site Maintenance and Operations departments, subcontractors and Cavern Integrity management to ensure that Cavern Integrity projects and functions are carried out in a safe and timely manner. 2.Plan, schedule, supervise and execute wireline work on all site caverns and wells. 3.Develop and review Mechanical Integrity Test (MIT) programs. Conduct MITs, analyze test data, review, write and submit (MIT) reports on oil storage caverns and wells. 4.Develop and review Liquid Pressure Observation Test (LPOT) programs. Conduct LPOTs, analyze test data, review, write and submit (LPOT) reports on oil storage caverns and wells. 5.Develop, review, and implement workover, wireline and sonar programs and conduct oversight and periodic reporting of these activities. 6.Complete and submit all state compliance reporting on time. 7.Analyze available data and develop plans for continued cavern operations. 8.Monitor and correlate cavern pressure data provided from the site, ensure accuracy and adequacy of data to allow proper analysis and control. 9.Maintain records in and update cavern database including wellhead and downhole schematics. 10.Prepare technical reports and participate in technical data exchange with other FFPO functional departments. 11.Provide coverage for other Site Cavern Engineers at times when they need to be away from the site or have increased activity that requires additional personnel to maintain a safe and effective work environment. 12.Must be a self-starter to perform duties with limited direct supervision. Contract Management Responsibilities: 1.Act as Subcontract Management Technical Representative (SMTR) for one or more subcontracts, work with Subcontract Administrators in Procurement Department to oversee subcontractor performance. 2.Coordinate and act as liaison with technical subcontractors regarding potential problems and resolutions in the SPR environment. 3.Perform technical evaluation of proposals in accordance with the procurement schedule. 4.Verify that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and have workarounds available for when permits are not available; coordinate with other disciplines and resolve technical discrepancies. 5.Review and make recommendations regarding subcontractors' safety, security, environmental and personnel plans. 6.Coordinate scheduling and planning with site personnel to assure no impact to site operations and projects and to the performance of the subcontract. 7.Conduct surveillance of subcontractor performance. 8.Monitor deliverables and adherence to schedule. 9.Respond to subcontractor's requests for information and clarification; provide in-scope technical direction to subcontractor 10.Document subcontractor performance and forward a copy of this documentation to the Subcontract Manager/Buyer as required during subcontract performance and at the conclusion of the subcontract. 11.Report any potential deviations from the subcontract requirements to the Subcontract Manager/Buyer for action. 12.Submit service verifications in a timely basis. Field Supervision Duties: 1.Direct wireline operations 2.Direct sonar operations 3.Direct MIT field operations 4.Direct other field operations as required. 5.Support workover operations when rig is working on site Job Opening and Closing Dates 5/27/2025 - 6/06/2025 Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Site Cavern Engineer Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science from a nationally recognized program is required. Experience: Minimum 3 years progressive engineering and operations experience in drilling, well service, hydrocarbon storage, petroleum production, mining or geotechnical/rock mechanics is preferred. Experience in solution mining operations is desirable. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Site Cavern Technical Specialist Education: High School degree. Experience: Minimum 7 years progressive engineering and operations experience in drilling, well service, hydrocarbon storage, petroleum production or mining is required. Experience in solution mining operations is desirable. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Certifications, Licenses: Professional Engineer certification is preferred, if not, working toward this certification will be encouraged. Working Conditions: Adverse Conditions: Outside work in inclement weather is required. Hazardous Conditions: Work around heavy oil field equipment in a well pad environment is required. Physical Demands: Must be able to safely function in an office and field environment for long periods of time.
